How a Small Disused Cottage Became a Charming Holiday Spot on the Norfolk Coast

Transforming a Disused Cottage into a Coastal Retreat

Nestled along the serene and picturesque Norfolk coast, a small disused cottage has undergone a remarkable transformation, emerging as a holiday home for all to enjoy. Our team at Studio 29 Architects and Interior Designers took on the challenge of preserving the cottage's historical charm while infusing it with a unique blend of ethnic pieces, resulting in a warm and inviting space that beckons visitors inside.
Our approach to this project was driven by a deep appreciation for the cottage's rich history and the stunning natural beauty of its surroundings. We wanted to create an interior that seamlessly connected its occupants to the breathtaking Norfolk coast that lay just steps away.
Preserving the cottage's historical charm was of utmost importance to us. We carefully assessed its original features, such as exposed wooden beams, vintage fireplaces, and intricately patterned floor tiles, ensuring they remained intact throughout the transformation. By maintaining these elements, we were able to capture the essence of the cottage's past while introducing modern comforts.
